The mainland resort city of Pattaya is one of the most well know beach destinations in Asia, and Hua Hin is great for a weekend getaway from Bangkok.
The laid-back island of Samet is the closest 'beach holiday' island to Bangkok. Samet's white sands attract gay tourists and gay Thais from Bangkok. The island offers both sun and fun nights out at the gay/mixed Silversand Bar.

Finally, we have the 'away from it all' island destinations.
These islands are a bit harder to reach but offer some of the best tropical beaches in Thailand.
These islands are ideal for romantic couples and those who only need a good book. You will probably meet other gay travelers but not any exclusively gay venues.
