BAS Living Room

In the hustle and bustle of Soi 4, Bas Bar offers respite, and the best cocktails on the Soi. This is where a lot of locals go it seems, to meet up and relax before heading off to the nightclubs. Service is friendly and not pushy, with the charming proprietor often behind the bar making drinks. The cocktails are not the most imaginative, but made well with quality spirits, which is a nice change in the Bangkok gay scene. Best times to visit is 10pm-2am I was told by Bas, it can be a little quite before.

I really like the bar, the great cocktails and, of course, Bas. Will be back in January and looking forward being at the bar and having lots of fun!

BAS is a great little bar towards the end of Soi 4, away from the crowd of bar staff constantly pushing drink menus in your face. A few very comfortable lounge chairs on the outside terrace which tend to get taken early in the evening. Good cocktails. Unfortunately, this quieter and darker end of the street also seems to be popular with cockroaches running around between BAS and the Sphinx.
