Ondo

I went to this downstairs bar in late April 2019, and the bar is now called Ondo with a new owner. It was quiet on a Sunday evening, and I was the only person there. Was told it was much busier on Friday and Saturday. I had two beers, and I welcomed the owner to sit with me and chat. Very nice guy, and hope to return the next time I'm in Seoul!

This little downstairs place is more like a small restaurant. I was there on a Saturday night and was the only customer sitting at the bar - the rest were sitting at tables eating food. The chef was also the bartender - friendly but with little English. This might be somewhere you take a friend or a partner (if you have one) for a light dinner prior to hitting the other bars in the Jongno area.
