They wont let you in if you are over 40 BUT they wont tell you that. They are rude to you and say its a private party. If they wantvonly a young crowd then admit it and become a private club. But dont be artogant and rude when questioned about how to become a member of this so called private club. Its lies. This place should be banned by the Lbgt community.

Went there 1/2020 evening and only two men were inside.

The owner is a bitter old man who gets off by rejecting people. It depends on his mood. One day he’ll reject you, the next day he won’t. If you confront him, he pretends to be stupid (no real pretending there). It’s the allure of not getting in & the exclusivity of being allowed in which makes you want it more. But in truth, it’s really no better than other clubs just blocks away. This is NOT Studio 54, but I have a sneaky suspicion that the owner had been rejected from there back in the 70’s. I’m not old enough to have gone to Studio 54, but he certainly is. No, seriously. The guys are no better looking, more hung, or younger in there. You’re attracted to who you’re attracted to. The only guys that get behind the door are guys the OWNER is attracted to. Just remember that. I was “allowed” twice but rejected once, and totally called him on him fully knowing what he does. He gets off on it. Also, if you’re not a smoker, this place is where to go if you want 2nd hand smoke lung cancer. I wanted to walk around with a wet towel over my nose and mouth, it was that bad! So if you want to go, give it a shot! Think of it as a game, just like the owner does! If you get in, cool, if not, cool. I can guarantee you, there are just as many hot guys in there as there are not so hot guys. And just because you were “selected” to get in does NOT mean who you’re attracted to will feel the same about you. Just like any other club. This place isn’t special....the owner tries to make you think it is.

I have been here several times whenever I visit Berlin. Always had a hot time. There’s a good mix of guys from all ages and all who come here are ready to play. Best gay cruising place in Berlin!

Location: In the gay area. Not far from the Nollendofplatz stop. Type of customer: From 30 to 45 years. All people who want to spend little. Structure: Enter the hard video store, leave your jacket and wallet in one of the lockers near the entrance. Pay and enter cruising. All on the same level. A couple of dark rooms and a dozen small rooms. Cleaning: Poor. Prices: Admission is cheap. For drinks there is a vending machine. Advice for customers: It is practically the less attractive version of Barcelona's Boyberry. We entered on a Friday night and it was practically empty. No one has been able to tell us if it fills up on other days. We won't be back. Advice for managers: Berlin is not Barcelona. In Barcelona there are many penniless students looking for fast, cheap adventures. In Berlin people are looking for much stronger things. In our opinion it is not the right place for such a place.

What a brilliant time I had here...loads of really handsome hot men up for plenty of action. Not disappointed at all....best cinema in Berlin by far - highly recommended to visit and have lots of fun and action guaranteed.

We are 24 yo. So we cruised in this area and found this cinema. We would like to find other young people. The guy on a cash counter was so nasty and inside (Saturday evening) empty.

Always full of hot guys of all ages and shapes. Many rooms with glory holes and all with TV screens showing gay porns. Best time in the afternoon between 5 and 8 or later after 10.

Rude and arrogant staff. Too much rent boys inside. Not very clean. Smoke smoke smoke smoke - too much smoke. Horrible!

I was here several times and had always good action via gloryhole and not only. Best time between 17.00 and 22.00 during the week, and weekend all afternoon and evening. --> for quick fun always good.

To old...ore bot model...than the say "private Club.."....and very Dirty....high entryprice 10 €....better gibt in other Club ...Tomé bar ore other,...

I've been visiting this place for probably the past 10 years and I agree with the others that it was declined. Each time I have gone it is emptier and more full of smoke (come on Berlin!). But last night I tried to go in and was refused- "private party"..when I told the cranky door guy that I had come there for years he said "all the passes are sold out". Right... Total bs. I probably didn't miss much.

I received free entry from my hostel. There are cells with screening of adult movies and a few men walking around. It is not clear to me how such a place can afford to make a selection. The place is not successful at all ...

Stayed in Berlin early May, travelled from Limerick, Ireland. I stayed at gay youth hostel, got free pass from hostel but I was refused entry because it was "full". I am 38 years old, look a lot younger, am slim build but still refused entry yet there was no problem selling me poppers the night before. Is this a "rip off" continental Europe culture?

Had a great time there. Went there on a Wednesday night at around 8 pm. There were about 15 guys from 20 to 50 I guess. Some good looking guys. Was fun!

This place was a huge disappointment. It is just a dark, seedy cruise club with rude staff (welcome to Berlin!) and several average-looking "divas" in their mid to late 40s, just sitting around smoking cigarettes (in a venue with no ventilation) and acting precious.

Jaxx used to be very popular many years back but no one goes here anymore. Most guys use apps to meet these day.The last few times I've visited it has been empty with a handful of rent boys inside. I watched an older guy get tricked into a room with a young guy, a few minutes later the guy was complaining his wallet had stolen. Many street muggings and attacks have taken place outside here recently and the area near Tom's bar. It is all over the German press but seems to be ignored in English reports. Be very careful.

Very lovely and kind atmosphere for people who are pretty and care enough about themselves to fight age. As gay men we have enough time and money to fix ourselves, go running to stay fit (!!), fix our teeth and skin and be clean and good looking. It is not that hard, honestly. I think there is a lot of discrimination against fit and pretty gay men, the fat and ugly always complain and want to make trouble - because they are most jealous and only dream they could have sex with us. But they can't! Jaxx has wonderful opportunities for great experiences with pretty people. But please respect the rules of fit and pretty. It is all about respect - and stop the jealousy! PLEASE!!!!

was refused to enter : I was told 'only locals'.... I am not very old - fat - ugly - etc..... When I read other reviews I really don't know what they want.... at least they can be clear about it ....

How on earth in 2017 does this place get away with such blatant discrimination to LGBT citizens. It is right in the heart of the gay district and I have been refused entry on at least 3 occasions due to "A private party" never any signage on the windows or doors indicating this just [and attempt to] embarrass and humiliate older gay clientele entering their establishment. They themselves will get older one day, and how will they feel being treated with such vile and horrible prejudice that we are constantly fighting ourselves against right wing hatred from other elements of our society. I am an intelligent hard working individual who has fought and campaigned for people like this to live without prejudice. Shame on you... your treatment to me and other older gay guys is utterly disgusting.

They say it is a private party today but it is just because they don't want older guys inside. This is discrimination.

I used to buy poppers at this place, but no more. I was told there was a private party. No notice on the Website, nothing. I have been let in before, several times, but today I guess suddenly I wasn't good enough.

Visited Jaxx last night. Wednesday before Easter. I paid and went in, and I asked the guy who worked how it was the rest of Easter. He said it was going to be lot of people. I decide to try again today and was refused entry of a guy around 45. He told it was a Private Party throughout Easter. (Although a friend sent me a message that he was inside). We are 6 guys from Sweden from 25 to 48 years who are in Berlin for Easter. We go to Lap tonight, include my friend who was inside Jaxx! After reading rhe comments on this page, we all understand what's going on. If this is the "new attitude" of Berlin, our coming destination is Brussels and Barcelona.

They have an offer which goes like this. After two visits one gets a free entry for the third but but but! They have a selective door policy so, if they don't like your face "no entry" PRIVATE FUNCTION IS THE TERM USED. also with the free tickets.

Great cruising/sex-cinema. Ugly people don't come inside! The first location I see with consequent door policy. No very old guys, no very fat guys, no drags. I love it!

Its true about guys getting turned away - but that's the reason I go here - I know everyone inside is under 50 and gone to gym hung and ready to get off - You can go on a Monday afternoon at 2pm and be alone in there hear the door buzz and know it will be a hot guy ready to get off - sorry to guys who feel discriminated against but its Berin go to one of the other 100 locations leave this place to the hot dudes - only down point they allow smoking and it gets very overpowering but bearable considering the guys there - otherwise very clean.

There is place for this sort of thing especially in a community that is dogged with discrimination. There are too many complaints how we are let in when they need their numbers filled but when they have their perfect chiselled muscled rugged types then it's a private party!

Forget all the age and looks limit. I am 50 and went there after midnight on a Saturday. Door guy was moody looking and didn't speak but let me in. Inside there were about 12 people of which several was older than me. There was no atmosphere and a vending machine for drinks. This place is a total waste of money and time. Complete rubbish and plenty of better bars nearby.

I read some of the negative reviews so was ready to be rejected at the door. Instead the guy was friendly and helpful. I found the maze of dark areas to be good and the cabins very clean. There was a good mix of horny guys and as the evenings net on there was a good supply of new faces. I had a good time. I could do without the smoking but that's Europe!

I'am a nice handsome young guy who is chubby. After being told twice that there was a "private party", I went back one more time. It happened again. So I began asking questions. It took about 15 mins, but I finally got the clerk to admit the owner does not let anyone older or heavy into the cinema. He doesn't agree with it, but he could lose his job if he didn't follow this messed-up policy. Its very sad to see such blatant discrimination in Berlin, excluding such huge portion of the gay community from enjoying this so-called premiere cinema. I'am aiming to contact Berlin Bear Pride, to see if something can be done.

I too was refused entry by the shop assistant. No reason given. Just rude. However I was allowed in on the previous Friday so very peculiar door policy. On that Friday night the place was dead. I would say the whole place needs a rethink... Laughed out loud when I read on their website that they have a strict door policy which made it sound like an upmarket gentle man's club in London rather than a sleazy backstreet sex club.

Similarly to the others who have commented, I was refused entry a couple of months ago. When I was told it was membership only, I asked how I become a member. The guy made out he didn't understand what I was asking. His English was perfect. Obviously I wasn't the correct age/look. I took my business elsewhere.

Found that they only put air ventilation system on when its summertime, visited in April place was full of people smoking, could enjoy the venue. Door staff where unhelpful and ignorant of the problems. Wouldn't go again!

I have exactly the same experience, the guy on the entrance told me it was full but many younger guys entered while I was waiting shame on them

I was staying at Tom's Hotel, next door to the Jaxx, I could look down from my room window directly on to the entrance. I read on other web sites that this place had an "age" policy but wanted to find out for myself. Sure enough, the guy at the desk wouldn't let me in, he said it was a private club and that the membership was full. This was because I was, by his standards, too old. This was the first time in my life I had ever been refused entry to a gay venue because of my age, so guys, if you're over 30, or look over 30, forget this place. The guy was quite rude and his attitude pissed me off.
