Desert Hot Springs is a gay friendly town just north of Palm Springs, in the famous Coachella valley, and is a great place to vacation or consider moving to to become part of one of the world's most prevalent gaybourhoods.

VillageFest takes place in downtown Palm Springs every Thursday from 7 pm - 10 pm. It's an arts and crafts fair that covers several blocks. It's located on Palm Canyon Drive, in the heart of downtown.

As Palm Springs is home to so many artists and Friends of Dorothy, you'll find that this street fair is a cut above the average. It's something of a Palm Springs institution and well worth checking out.

A small but beautiful museum displaying works from antiquity to the present. Admission is free on Thursday between 4:00 - 8:00 pm.

You'll see a range of different styles, including lesser-known artists and big names like David Hockney.
